Caving

In the course of millions of years, cavities have been hollowed out in the limestone masses of the Ardèche Gorges and surroundings. The Department Ardèche is the place in Europe where you can find an extraordinary profusion of caves. More than 10,000 cavities have been discovered so far, which offers speleologists unique exploration possibilities. Every year new caves are discovered.
