Situated in the South-East of France on the eastern border of Massif Central, the Ardèche is one of the eight departments making up the Rhône-Alpes Region; 135 km of the Rhône river also creates one of its natural border. Extending between Auvergne and Provence, the Ardèche features both continental and mediterranean climate and vegetation.
