Monte Carlo Rally
The Monte Carlo 2010 on the mythical roads of the Ardèche
On January 20th and 21st 2010, the roads of the Ardèche hosted the most popular winter car race, the historical Monte Carlo Rally. For the second year in a row the Monte Carlo Rally has been the opening event of the 2010 Intercontinental Rally Challenge season, authorised by the FIA and launched in 2007 by Eurosport Events.
The Monte Carlo Rallyin the Ardèche has been a privileged event, a great rally rendez-vous where cars have raced mercifully during two days on the Ardèche land. The roads in the Ardèche host many car competitions because they are picturesque but also because they are famed for being difficult and unpredictable.
The winding roads and sudden climate changes make car races in the Ardèche most difficult and rally drivers must be ready to face and overcome difficulties and obstacles.

While selecting the itinerary the organisers made the Ardèche region the focus of media attention and the whole of France had the opportunity to admire the most beautiful ardéchois landscapes, mountains, plateaus and roads that criss-cross the Ardèche, thanks to the famous Monte Carlo rally.
